Bread worth the wait in line.
A corner deli-cafe doing a short list of sandwiches properly: bread baked each morning, meats sliced to order, soup made in one pot and gone by close. Coffee that holds its own next to all that.
One pot a day
Soup week, planned like a menu.
Cup $5, bowl with bread $8. When the pot's empty, it's empty.
About the shop
A deli with a cafe's patience.
Most delis rush the coffee. Most cafes buy the bread. We're building one counter that takes both halves seriously: the slicer and the espresso machine share the same bench, and the morning bake sets the day's schedule.
The shop is small — a dozen seats, a window bench, and a case you can see straight into. We'd rather sell out of six good sandwiches than keep thirty mediocre ones on a laminated menu.
We're finishing the buildout now. Where, exactly? That's the one thing we're keeping on the board inside until the paint dries — join the opening list below and you'll know before the sign goes up.
Opening news
First to know, first in line.
- Opening date and hours announced to the list first, then posted here.
- Neighborhood preview day for the list before the public opening.
- No spam — a handful of notes between now and opening day, then we're done.
